OUR ORIGIN
Built from inside the design industry.
Mined and Matter was founded by Nadia Michel after years working at the intersection of design, media, brand strategy and business development.
Working closely with an established interior design firm, she saw firsthand how even highly accomplished practices can depend heavily on reputation, referrals and inbound opportunities for growth.
The opportunity wasn't to add more marketing. It was to build a more deliberate commercial strategy: identifying where projects were emerging, understanding who was behind them, developing the right relationships and positioning the firm to enter the conversation earlier.
Mined and Matter was created to bring that approach to other design firms.

FOUNDER
Nadia Michel is a strategist, business developer and former editor whose career has been built around connecting ideas, people and opportunity.
Her experience spans interior design, luxury, media and brand strategy, including senior-level work in business development and brand strategy for an established interior design firm, where she has helped develop relationships across architecture, development, real estate and hospitality.
Earlier in her career, Nadia worked in international luxury media as a managing editor and journalist, developing a perspective on storytelling, positioning and relationship-building that continues to shape her approach today.
Through Mined and Matter, she brings those disciplines together to help design firms pursue growth with greater intention.
